Our love for Golden Retrievers started in 1983 when we purchased our first Golden, Teddy. Teddy was second pick male in a litter and the breeder asked if we would show him. This simple request sparked a great adventure into many areas of competition and a fantastic experience of the love and companionship offered by this marvelous breed.

Although my main interest is the conformation ring, I also believe that a Golden should be able to do the work it was originally bred for and should be able and willing to fulfill whatever role you wish for it - be it obedience, tracking, agility or most importantly, companion and friend. Thus my main goal in breeding Goldens is to produce dogs that are not only pretty and healthy but that also exhibit the typical "Golden" temperament and are smart, responsive and very willing to please.

We are members of the Golden Retriever Club of Canada, the Golden Retriever Club of BC and the Golden Retriever Club of America as well as the Canadian Kennel Club. At Fyreglo, we breed only occasionally as much time and research is put into the planning of an upcoming litter. Currently we have one or two litters a year. All potential puppy buyers must complete our questionnaire - please e-mail me for a copy. This is the start of a process where we get to know each other very well. It is very important to be up front and open in these discussions as this process must lead you to a feeling of comfort with me as a breeder and me to an understanding of your family and lifestyle to be able to recommend the puppy best suited to fit in with your family.
